Rootz, a digital gambling company headquartered in a Mediterranean island nation, has officially entered the North American market after obtaining a permit in Ontario.
The company, which owns brands such as Wildz, Wheelz, Caxino, and Spinz, now operates in Canada after recently launching in Germany. All four casino brands operate on Rootz’s proprietary platform, utilizing a single account system.
Rootz’s CEO, Lasse Rantala, stated: “Expanding our presence in regulated markets aligns with our dynamic strategy, focused on providing cutting-edge gaming solutions to players globally.” “Ontario is a significant market for us, and we embrace the opportunity presented by the AGCO to become a licensed operator and sign an operating agreement with iGO.
“We express sincere gratitude to our exceptional team for securing the Ontario license. As an operator, we prioritize secure, dependable, and fair gaming; the stringent compliance standards of regulated markets like Ontario and Germany will provide our customers with assurance that they are enjoying a gaming experience with a licensed provider.”
Rootz is also licensed and regulated by the Malta Gaming Authority, and launched its inaugural casino, Wildz, in July 2019.
Rootz secured a German permit from the Saxony-Anhalt State Chancellery in September of 2022 and commenced operations in November.
