Esports Entertainment Group (EEG) has finalized the purchase of online gambling establishment operator Lucky Dino Gaming Limited through its Malta-licensed subsidiary Esport Entertainment (Malta) in a transaction valued at roughly $30 million (£21.5 million/€24.9 million).
EEG concluded the $30 million acquisition of Lucky Dino. Lucky Dino, which holds a license in Malta, was guided by RB.capital during the purchase.
By acquiring Lucky Dino’s business assets, EEG now possesses its own casino platform, which the company asserts provides remarkable simplicity, expandability, and adaptability.
Lucky Dino’s proprietary technology suite encompasses affiliate marketing software, payment servers, and a customer relationship management system featuring gamification and loyalty engines, enabling automated player management.
“During the last five years, Lucky Dino has progressed from a single-brand white-label casino operator to a multi-brand, top-tier casino operator and technology firm,” stated EEG CEO Grant Johnson.
In addition to bolstering our technological framework, Lucky Dino’s resources will furnish us with a robust presence in numerous new European territories, particularly in Scandinavia, where electronic sports are highly favored. With Lucky Dino’s 25,000 active casino patrons each month, we will possess substantial cross-selling opportunities to utilize our SportNation and VIE.bet wagering platforms.
Johnson continued to outline Lucky Dino’s growth path in recent years, revealing an 86% compound annual growth rate in earnings over the five years ending June 30, 2020.
He concluded by stating the company will be dedicated to introducing Lucky Dino’s online casino platform to the American market in the future, alongside its VIE.bet esports offering.
EEG declared the acquisition last December for $30 million, which will be financed through debt funding provided by the organization.
This is the most recent acquisition the company has finalized this year, following the completion of a takeover agreement for esports tournament organizer Esports Gaming League (EGL) in January.
Later that month, EEG reached binding agreements to acquire two brands, Helix eSports and ggCircuit.
Helix eSports owns five electronic sports centers and also operates esports industry analytics provider Genji Analytics, while ggCircuit is a B2B software provider that offers cloud-based management for LAN centers, as well as tournament platforms, integrated wallets, and point-of-sale solutions for business clients.
