The “Gaming Industry for Ukraine” project intends to collect £250,000 for individuals displaced by the Ukrainian war, with all funds going to “Choose Love’s” Ukraine crisis fundraising campaign. The initiative also urges companies to contribute unused promotional items, such as portable chargers, towels, water bottles, and apparel, for relief efforts.
More than 350,000 people have left Ukraine in the past week, and “Choose Love” is gathering funds to provide essential aid and services to those who remain in Ukraine and those who have escaped the conflict. This includes emergency medical care, food, shelter, clothing, legal assistance, support for the LGBTQIA+ community, and mental health support.
The gaming industry has strong connections to Ukraine, with many operators and suppliers working in Ukraine or having teams there.
