The entertainment giant, Caesars, is joining forces with the Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians to introduce mobile sports wagering in North Carolina. This collaboration builds upon their existing agreement following the state’s authorization of sports betting.
They intend to roll out mobile sports betting in the state, with an anticipated launch soon after the activity becomes permissible in the Tar Heel State on March 11th.
The Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians Gaming Commission currently possesses the licenses for the mobile sports betting market, and this alliance will enable residents of the state to utilize Caesars Sportsbook, subject to regulatory consent.
North Carolina has been preparing for the debut of sports betting since its approval last November. However, there was a degree of letdown when it was announced that legalization would occur after Super Bowl weekend.
Although sports betting won’t be operational until March 11th, North Carolinians will have the opportunity to pre-register and fund their accounts through the Caesars Sportsbook application beginning March 1st.
The two groups had previously collaborated to incorporate Caesars Sportsbooks at both the Harrah’s Cherokee Casino Resort and Harrah’s Cherokee Valley River Casino & Hotel.
The gaming giant, Caesars Entertainment, recently secured a significant victory in North Carolina. This encompasses their two current gaming establishments: Harrah’s Cherokee Casino Resort and Harrah’s Cherokee Valley River Hotel & Casino.
Eric Hession, the top executive at Caesars Digital, expressed enthusiasm about the partnership, stating that it expands upon their twenty-year collaboration with the tribe and will enhance the experience for sports enthusiasts.
Michelle Hicks, the Principal Chief of the Eastern Cherokee Indians, shared the sentiment, characterizing it as a mutually beneficial arrangement that will continue to positively impact their community.
